Kakebotoke with images of eleven-headed Kannon Triad

Kakebotoke plaques were hung on temple and shrine buildings as objects of worship. This example is made of bronze and depicts an elven-headed Kannon in the center and Fudo Myo-o and Bishamonten to the left and right. The Kannon Triad style, with Fudo Myo-o and Bishamonten to the left and right, is seen at Tendai and Shingon school temples. From the encryption on the back, it is known that Hata Morihiro presented it to the Kodakamiyama Shakudoji Temple (in Kinomotocho Ishimichi, Nagahama City) in 1368 during the Nanboku-cho period in prayer for health and longevity.
