1st Floor Reception Desk, Museum Shop


The museum shop sells items related to the warlords connected with Nagahama and also carries exhibition catalogues. The face-cutout board at the entrance is popular as a spot to commemorate your visit to the museum with a personalized photo.
2nd floor Featured Exhibition Room


The exhibition room holds featured exhibitions and special exhibitions on the history and culture of Kohoku and Nagahama.
3rd floor Permanent Exhibition Room


Visitors can view exhibits in the permanent exhibition room related to Nagahama Castle and Hideyoshi, under the theme of Nagahama's Warring States Period.
Rooftop Observation Deck


The rooftop observation deck offers a panoramic view of Lake Biwa! If you are lucky, you may be able to watch the sun set over the lake.
Nagahama Castle Ruins Highlights






The area around the Museum is designated as a historic site, the Nagahama Castle Ruins. A bronze statue of Hideyoshi standing over the ruins of Nagahama Castle’s donjon, the "Taikoh Well," which is said to be the remains of a well from Hideyoshi's time, and stone walls give visitors a sense of the atmosphere of the time when Nagahama Castle was built.
