Rengeji Temple’s book to ask for donations in Goshu Minoura
A book to ask for donations to restore a building of Rengeji Temple (Banba, Maibara City) lost in fire during the Onin War. Rengeji Temple, currently of the Pure Land school of Buddhism, used to be a temple of the Time school in its prime in medieval Japan. During the Genko War, about 430 people of the Kamakura Shogunate including Hojo Nakatoki committed suicide in one of the buildings that belonged to Rengeji Temple after Kyogoku Doyo cut off their path to retreat.
